BEL-UMOJA EVENING<\/p>\n

I’m pleased to announce the next intergenerational evening event organized by BEL-UMOJA, an association created by Belgian citizens from various backgrounds, with the mission of promoting the harmonious inclusion and civic participation of Belgians of African descent, originally from Central Africa (DRC – Rwanda – Burundi) in Belgium.<\/p>\n

Faced with the challenges of integrating these compatriots of African descent, and true to its mission of perpetuating ties of friendship with countries that have shared a piece of common history, outside of any political orientation, URBA-KBAU is accompanying this enthusiastic BEL-UMOJA team to stimulate intergenerational encounters, give a voice to Belgians who have succeeded in their integration journey, listen to the situations experienced and strengthen social cohesion and the success of better living together. In this way, our diverse society will be enriched by the talents and dynamism of a rising generation of Belgians from this disapora.<\/p>\n

After those organized in Louvain-La-Neuve (Centre Placet) last June, in Brussels (Centre culturel Congolais) in September and in Namur (Mus\u00e9e Africain) in November, the next evening will take place at the Presses Universitaires de Li\u00e8ge on May 8, 2026<\/strong>. Doors open at 6:00 pm; testimonies begin at 6:30 pm. The evening will close at 8.30pm with a convivial drink. <\/p>\n
